Project 06

mPulse filter groups

A clearer way to create, save, and reuse filters across dashboards and performance analysis.

UX · UI · Interaction design

The challenge

Filtering was one of the most common tasks in mPulse, but every change caused the dashboard to reload—sometimes for several minutes. The interface also displayed every available filter and offered no way to save commonly used configurations, creating a cluttered and repetitive experience.

The approach

I redesigned filtering around a modal workflow that allowed users to make several changes before applying them together. Users could save and reuse filter groups, while the main dashboard displayed only filters that differed from the default settings.

The result

The redesigned workflow reduced unnecessary reloads and made active filters easier to understand. Reusable configurations eliminated repetitive setup work and brought the experience into alignment with the broader mPulse design system.
